5th ANNUAL JINDALEE ANTIQUE & COLLECTABLES CHARITY FAIR

The Zonta Club of Brisbane East Inc. is holding their 5th Annual Antique & Collectables Charity Fair on Sunday 12th July 2009 from 10.00a.m.-2.00p.m. at the Jindalee State School Hall, Cnr Burrendah Road & Wongaburra Street Jindalee (Entry - second gate in Wongaburra Street). Many well known dealers will present for sale a range of antiques and collectables including china, estate and costume jewellery, glassware, dolls and toys, decorative arts, linen and bric-a-brac. Admission is $5 per person with children under 14 admitted free if accompanied by an adult. There will be a lucky door prize. Appraisals will be undertaken by well-known local dealer and valuer Stan Prickett ($5 per item with a maximum of 3 items) a service which he kindly donates to the Club. In addition there will be a silent auction of antique reference books, jewellery valuations etc. Tea, coffee, refreshments and a sausage sizzle will be available. The Club supports both local and international charities and within the last 2 years has made and distributed in excess of 1200 breast cushions to local hospitals for women (and some men) who have undergone breast surgery. Disabled parking will be available on the day. Dubbo Antiques & Collectables Fair

The Rotaract Club of Dubbo and the Rotary Club of Dubbo host this annual event. Opening times are from 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $5 or $8 for the weekend pass. Gala opening held Friday night with complimentary wine and canopes, cost is $20. FREMANTLE COLLECTORS' FAIR

Fremantle Collectors Fair will be held on Sunday 26/7/09 at the Masonic Hall, cnr High & Chalmers Sts Fremantle WA from 9.15am-3.30pm. There will be over 40 tables with a large variety of antiques & collectables for sale including dolls and other toys, model cars, old books, Australiana, badges, vintage linen, bottles, china, bric-a-brac, cards, kitchenalia, etc. Come along to find that special item for your collection (or a gift for someone else's). 11th Tweed Antiques & Collectables Fair

The Tweed Antiques and Collectables Fair will be held at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre, Corner of Wharf and Brett Streets, Tweed Heads (next door to the Tweed Heads Bowls Club). The Fair will be open to the public from 9am until 5pm on Saturday, 8 August and 10am to 3pm on Sunday, 9 August. Admission is $5.00 per adult, accompanied children (under 12) are free. Dealers from several States will offer a wide selection of antique & vintage items including jewellery, silver, china, crystal, furniture, books, militaria, postcards, and more. Strathalbyn Collectors, Hobbies & Antique Fair

The 19th Annual Strathalbyn Collectors, Hobbies and Antiques Fair is on in August this year. During the fair Strathalbyn has the largest collection and selection of antiques anywhere in Australia. There are five halls to visit, which are filled with quality antiques and collectables from local and interstate dealers. Antique appraisals both days and an auction on Saturday. There is catering and entertainment as well as a complimentary shuttle bus to each venue. There are many bargains to be found with a huge Open Air Treasure Market on the Sunday at the oval. St Peters Antique Fair

“Nine Ways to Collect” - St Peters Antique Fair The St Peters Antique Fair will be held at the St Peters Town Hall 101 Payneham Road on Friday 11th September 4:30-8:00pm Saturday 12th September 10am-5pm & Sunday 13th September 10am-4pm as part of the City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters Nine by Nine Cultural and Heritage Festival. Local and interstate dealers will be attending, selling a range of quality items for serious collectors and amateurs. From jewellery to china, silver to furniture the 27 dealers will have something for everyone. 10 percent of each entry ticket will be donated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Research Foundation. Appraisals for the cost of a gold coin will be available on Saturday and Sunday (all proceeds to the QEH) so bring along your treasures for an honest appraisal. There will be additional free activities such as St Peters Side Walk History Tours and an Antique Toy display as part of the festival. Light refreshments are available on Saturday and Sunday.
